My wife and I visited this popular tourist destination, where 14% of the island is a World Heritage Site.
Miyajima is an island surrounded by the sea that can only be reached by ferry.
Since we took the time to visit, we wanted to spend as much time as possible on Miyajima.
However, hotels on Miyajima are all relatively expensive, so it is important to make sure you have enough time for sightseeing.
We wanted to stay as close to Miyajima as possible at a reasonable price while still allowing time for sightseeing. The Miyajima Coral Hotel, located right in front of the ferry terminal to Miyajima, met our needs.

It is also a 10-minute walk from Miyajima-guchi Station.

We stayed there for the night after a full day of sightseeing in Miyajima.
Our room was on the 5th floor of the new building.
I was surprised to find that the rooms were more beautiful than I had imagined, as I had imagined a business hotel due to its low price.
There is also a hotel for backpackers near the Coral Hotel.
If I had been alone, I would have chosen that hotel, but considering my wife, this one seemed better.
The room was on the ocean side, so when I looked through the window, I saw the ocean spread out in front of me.
Across the street is Miyajima Island.

It is wonderful to have a hotel with the sea in front of you. The atmosphere is outstanding.
Breakfast while looking at the sea
One of the reasons why the price was so low this time is that dinner was not included.
We rarely have dinner at hotels when we travel. We prefer to eat local specialties.
We were under a plan that did not include dinner, but breakfast was served, so we decided to try it.
A buffet breakfast with both Japanese and Western dishes.
Hotel buffets make me strangely excited.
I started with what I wanted to eat and ended up with a mixed selection of Japanese and Western food.
Although it was a service, the food was delicious.
The restaurant is located right in front of the ferry terminal, so you can see the ferry and the sea from the restaurant.
It was an elegant breakfast.
We finished our breakfast at Miyajima, but of course you can have dinner at the hotel.
It might be nice to have dinner with a view of the sea.
